CASTOR OIL - Contains essential Fatty Acids, which help restore the skin's moisture balance. Anti-inflammatory, has a comedogenic rating of 1, meaning it won't clog pores, so great for oily skin, with dry lips.

DRAGON'S BLOOD RESIN - Predominantly found in South America, another little beauty from the Amazon. It is excellent for ageing & damaged skin due to its high antioxidative quotient. Dragon’s blood has anti-fungal, anti-bacterial & anti-viral properties. These properties help people who suffer from acne, psoriasis & eczema.
Widely used on infectious skin conditions of all kinds very successfully. It is rich in anti-inflammatory compounds of various kinds & protective antioxidant phenols. Due to these compounds, Dragon’s blood sap/resin helps to protect the cells of the skin and reduces redness and swelling. It also contains a group of compounds called proanthocyanidins, which actually repair collagen, the main protein that makes up much of our tissues. In addition, Dragon’s blood contains Taspine, a known tissue-healing agent.

ROSEHIP OIL - Jam-packed with Fatty Acids, Vitamin C & A and very effective to combat the signs of ageing. Reducing fine lines & wrinkles. Improves the overall texture of the skin & delivers moisture into the deeper layers.

HEMP SEED OIL - Provides Essential Fatty Acids, beneficial for the skin; LA (Linoleic Acid, Omega 6), GLA (Gamma Linolenic Acid), ALA (Alpha-Linolenic Acid, Omega 3), & SDA (Stearidonic, Stearic Acid, Omega 9), Palmitic Acid (Omega 9), Oleic Acid (Omega 9). All naturally occurring acids in Hemp Seed Oil and have multiple benefits, such as; antioxidant, skin repair, emollient, skin repair, anti-inflammatory, skin protector/ skin barrier, wound healing, skin nutrient, regenerator, reduces skin hyperpigmentation, prevents blocked pores, acne reducing, helps blood flow & circulation & helps with skin tone. It is excellent for eczema, psoriasis & because of its oil balancing properties, it suits all skin types.

BABASSU OIL - Amazonian oil. Contains Glucosides, Vitamins & Fatty Acids. Lauric Acid; an antimicrobial kills viruses & bacteria, Myristic Acid; Lubricates skin & high rate of absorption by the skin. Palmitic Acid; Acts as a natural emollient, softens skin & helps retain moisture. Oleic Acid; Great for dry & thirsty skin, helps regulate sebum production & Linoleic Acid; light and fast-absorbing fatty acid nourishes skin, without clogging pores, aids healing skin & opens layers for faster absorption. Natural Vitamin E, collagen booster, nourishing & protecting. Phytosterols; Plant sterols, which stimulate pore detoxification and strengthens the skin’s lipid barrier.

VITAMIN E OIL - Nourishes & protects skin from the damage that is caused by free radicals. Effective at reducing UV damage. Boosts collagen production.

Apply a small amount to lips, this formula spreads well, so very little is needed. Apply of a night for regeneration benefits while sleeping. Use a cosmetic scoop to avoid bacteria being transferred into the jar. Store sub 30 degrees C.

Suits all skin types, especially damaged and distressed.

Here at Malano, we love essential oils as much as you do. They have a rich history dating all the way back to the early Egyptians and for that reason, we use them extensively in many products. However, one thing that you may not know, essential oils are considered a medicine and listed as a chemical by the Therapeutic Goods Administration. So, there are some important pointers that that we thought we’d share with you on their use and safety. 1. Always dilute your essential oils in a high-quality carrier oil, such as; Jojoba, Sweet Almond or Fractionated Coconut Oil. Never use essential oils neat. A rough guide is about 40 drops per 100ml of carrier oil, which is around 2%. 2. Always check the labels and understand the dilution rates, for example you should only use 2-10%. Be aware that Bergamot contains Bergaptene which makes the skin photo-sensitive. 3. Check whether the oil you are using is safe for pets and babies. 4. Cats and dogs are able to be around some oils, sometimes that can vary, not all oils are safe for all animal species. 5. Make sure if you are pregnant that you check for cautions, most essential oils are not suitable for pregnancy and infants. 6. Always learn from reputable books and sites about essential oil safety. 7. We don’t recommend many essential oils for infants under 2. 8. Perhaps one of the most important tips, never ingest essential oils unless you have food grade ones and you are experienced or trained in their use. The best advice is to seek a consult with a naturopath or aromatherapist and they can safely guide you through proper dosages and use. 9.
