Rose "The Queen of Flowers"

You may remember a while ago, we did a journal on Jasmine, “King of Flowers,” now it’s time to talk about the “Queen of Flowers.”

There are many species of roses, and we use them in many of our creations. Roses have been used and hugely valued throughout history due to their beneficial active components and beautiful aroma.

We use roses in our perfumes because they have a delicate and intoxicating fragrance. Roses have been a staple in the perfume industry for centuries, going back to ancient Egypt. The best way to describe a rose is timeless, delicate, and romantic. We use rose in skincare as well because it has natural active compounds that improve overall complexion, provide antioxidant effect, reduce the impact of environmental pollutants and toxins, have anti-inflammatory effects, and hydrate the skin. Rose assists with moisturising the skin, adds nourishment and is soothing.

We use Rose Absolute in the following products:

  • Precious Oils
  • Perfume with Purpose
  • Age Defying moisturiser
  • Eneregssence Exfoliating Mask
  • Perfume Collection
  • Deodorants
  • Oil Reeds
  • Aroma Oils
  • Men’s Skincare
  • Hand Cream – Energessence Seaweed
  • Serums
  • Cleansers
  • Essential Oil Blends

Pretty much everything we make has rose in it. We also sell a 3% Rose Absolute, diluted in our beautiful Kalahari Oil.

We use a few different species, commonly known as Peony, Rose Otto, Rose Damask, Rose De Mai and Rose Maroc, to name a few. We also use Rose Otto (Hydrosol) in some of our contract products, including a pet range.

When diffusing rose, it lifts our mood, promotes positivity, reduces agitation, and brings an overall sense of calmness. It is called “The Queen of Flowers” for good reason. Mother Nature at it’s best.
